Fax Marketing: Checklist

Is there one single message from your fax?

  • Is the action you want them to do, after they read your fax, clear to them?
    • ie. Call you, fax you, email you, sign up to newsletter, buy our product.
    • A fax-back form can make this clear.

 

  • Are your contact details clearly displayed?

 

  • Are there TWO opt-out mechanisms on the fax? There must be two ways they can opt out from future communications:
    • Email this address
    • Call this number

 

  • Have you minimised black colouring on fax, including text and pictures, to ensure you minimise your recipients ink usage?

 

  • Is your copy in black and white?

 

  • Ensure your font size is 12 point or greater

 

  • Do you have a headline?
    • Does it relate to your key message clearly?

 

  • Are there any terms and conditions on the offer you are making and are they clearly stated on the fax?
    • Remember - if terms and conditions are too long, fax is not the right channel for you to propose this offer - reconsider your offer or reduce terms and conditions.

 

  • Do you require, or can you incorporate personalised headers?
    • Have you checked personalised fields?

 

  • Have you done a text fax to yourself and can you read the fax?
